Constantin Riccardi is a French violinist and conductor born in 1996 in Luxembourg. He started to play the violin at the age of four and eventually studied under the direction of Philippe Koch at the Conservatoire Royal de Liège. At the age of 15 he also started studying conducting and received his Premier Prix three years later.
He completed a Master of Performance with Honours at the Royal Academy of Music, London under Clio Gould.
As a soloist and conductor he performed with orchestras such as the Orchestre de Chambre du Luxembourg, the Oltenia Philharmonic Orchestra and the Musique Militaire Grand Ducale du Luxembourg with repertoire that stretches from Bach to John Adams - whom he had the chance to collaborate with.
In chamber music he has played in various European festivals such as the British Isles Music Festival, the Festival d’Echternach, or the International Chamber Music Festival “Sugrįžimai” in Vilnius.
During masterclasses and advanced courses he has had the chance to work closely with renowned violinists such as Maxim Vengerov, Pierre Amoyal, Svetlin Roussev and Alena Baeva.
Over the past year he has played in internationally renowned concert halls such as the Philharmonie de Luxembourg, the Royal Albert Hall and in a tour with Trevor Pinnock and the Academy Soloists in the Sheldonian Theater in Oxford and the Suntory Hall in Tokyo.
Constantin plays on a violin by Carlo Landolfi from 1775 and is generously supported by the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music scholarship.
